Clayton Charter Township is very proud to be able to offer its residents a full time Police Department. Funds to provide police protection were authorized by a vote of the people in November 2002. The Clayton Township Police Department began operations on January 1, 2003.  The Clayton Township Police Building is located on the southeast corner of the municipal grounds and shares a parking lot with the township hall.  The building and grounds were built and made possible due to the many generous donations from area residents, businesses and contractors.
