The first election for Clayton Charter Township was at the District No. 6 school house on April 6, 1846 and the following were elected: Supervisor, Alfred Pond; Town Clerk, Francis Brotherton; Treasurer, Theron Wallace; Justice of the Peace, Seth Newell, Isaac Lyons, and Caleb Calkins. Current year elections took place on November 7th, 2006. The next elections will take place on November 6th, 2007.
